Mobile Libraries Without Boundaries

Through the project, we want to achieve:
1) to establish contact and cooperation with libraries and librarians in Spain (Catalonia) in order to get acquainted with the organization of the network of public libraries in Spain (Catalonia) and the programs of public libraries for adult users, with a special focus on mobile libraries in Catalonia and their services for all user groups, especially young people, adults, young families and senior citizens in rural and suburban areas and small settlements
2) through the study visit to Catalonia, to exchange professional experiences and gather the information on the organization of the work of mobile services libraries and the specifics of bibliobus vehicles in Spain (Catalonia)
3) to visit mobile library vehicles of different types and sizes and find out about their equipment, get to know with their regular work,
4) on the basis of collected information and knowledge, to provide library services for passive rural areas, better opportunities to use library services, ie provide them with access to quality cultural and educational content and programs, with the aim of improving personal skills and knowledge, encouraging reading and literacy, formal and non-formal education, lifelong learning, etc.
5) in order to improve the existing programs and work of mobile library services in the region and in Croatia in general, but also more broadly, the information will be transmitted to other librarians in Croatia, through the national Mobile Libraries Commission, as well as to other libraries in the area (in Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Montenegro ...)
Key areas of the Association's activities we wish to improve:
1) to find new ways, models and contents for continuous professional development of librarians – members of regional Library Association - with the aim of improving the work of libraries and providing library users with better and more accessible library services, especially for those with reduced access to library services due to places of residence, etc. (eg in rural areas)
2) constantly work on enabling the availability of as many quality library services as possible aimed at meeting basic cultural needs, encouraging reading and literacy

3) to gather knowledge about successful examples of good practice in the work of libraries, and especially about the organization of work and on mobile library services for adult users with reduced access to libraries, especially in rural areas
4) to gather knowledge about the organization of modern library networks of public libraries in other countries and their specifics that may be interesting for application in Croatia

5) disseminate information to librarians, members of the Library Assciation, but also more widely - through presentations at professional meetings (annual assembly, Bibliokon - annual professional forum etc.), via Svezak magazine, published by the Library Association, through social networks, etc.
